We pray that this email finds you safe and healthy!

Though the past four weeks have been anything but normal, a common theme has arisen, one that carries through no matter the circumstances: Our community cares about our neighbors in need! We are blessed to see this compassion each and every day, whether it is in the phone calls, emails or donations that we receive.

To be clear, Community Missions is still open for business! Our programs may look a little different, however, our neighbors in need are still able to receive the food, shelter and compassionate support that has been our mission for 95 years. This is because of a community that cares for them.

As you can see in the chart below, demand in our food pantry has been staggering. Over the past month, that program has served nearly three times as many households as it did last year during that time. During these uncertain times, people can count on us, because we can count on you!

To accommodate these needs, there are still many items that we can use. These include:

  • Canned goods (vegetables, fruit, meat)
  • Dry goods (cereal, pasta, peanut butter)
  • Plastic bags (preferably doubled up for use in the food pantry)
  • To-go containers
  • Towels/washcloths
  • Bedsheets
  • Masks

These items can be delivered to our main site, 1570 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, either in-person (at our front door; no entry!) or by having them sent to us. Financial donations to support this work can also be made by clicking this link.

Thank you as always for your consideration, and support of Community Missions. We couldn't do it without you!
