Charlie Dieteman, a senior from Lewiston-Porter High School and a student in the conservation program at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center, said he was thrilled his recent fundraiser for Empower raised $636.
Charlie has cerebral palsy. Empower’s mission – to be a service provider that offers diverse programming and individualized care and support to make people’s lives better – is very near and dear to him. On March 25, which is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, Charlie asked his schoolmates and staff at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center to show their support by wearing green and/or purchasing bracelets and ribbons for his fundraiser.
