The management for Leslie Odom Jr. and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday announces the Tony Award-winning artist will wait until Friday, March 25, 2022 to bring his symphonic show to Kleinhans Music Hall.

Odom Jr.'s highly anticipated performance with the BPO had previously been rescheduled to June 12, 2021, due to the suspension of events at Kleinhans in response to the pandemic. The newly rescheduled engagement comes from Odom Jr.’s desire to perform in an environment inclusive of all who wish to attend without restrictions or limitations on venue capacity, and the ability to safely present the full instrumentation of the BPO necessary for the show.

Odom Jr. is nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Sam Cooke in the film “One Night in Miami.” His song "Speak Now," featured in the film, is nominated for Best Original Song. Fans can watch Odom Jr.'s Tony Award-winning performance as Aaron Burr in the Broadway blockbuster “Hamilton” on Disney+, which currently streams a staged production with the original cast, filmed in 2016. His successful symphonic show features the best of Broadway and the American songbook with jazzy standards and nods to crooners such as Nat King Cole.

Tickets to see Odom Jr., part of the BPO’s 2021-22 concert season, are available now. Patrons holding tickets for the previously scheduled dates will have their tickets honored on the rescheduled one-night-only performance on Friday, March 25, 2022, unless they prefer to make other arrangements. For ticketholder options or to purchase tickets, contact the BPO box office at 716-885-5000 or visit bpo.org. (Note: BPO box office staff are working remotely at this time and there are no in-person box office hours at Kleinhans Music Hall.)
