Zoladz Construction Co. Inc. of Alden donated almost 9,000 meals over the past two weeks to Kaleida Health, Catholic Health and Roswell Park Cancer Institute to support their front-line health care workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zoladz’ program began April 16 when the company donated 350 Dinosaur Bar-B-Que lunches to staff at Erie County Medical Center. Zoladz teams then went on to deliver 8,635 more meals to the front-line staffs at 11 additional Western New York hospitals.

The donations included support through meal purchases from Fat Bob’s Smokehouse and Frank’s Gourmet Hots, as well as Dinosaur.

The hospital staffs involved were at Buffalo General Medical Center, 2,150 meals; Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, 1,200 meals; Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, 275 meals; John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, 1,000 meals; Sisters of Charity Hospital, 1,075 meals; Kenmore Mercy Hospital, 375 meals; Roswell Park Cancer Institute, 700 meals; Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, 1,000 meals; DeGraff Memorial Hospital, 110 meals; St. Joseph Campus, 400 meals; United Memorial Medical Center, 350 meals.

“We’re glad to give back to the community, and I hope this helped the local restaurants and lifted the spirits of the health care workers,” Zoladz CEO John Zoladz said. “This has been a very difficult two weeks and we wanted our frontline medical professionals to know how much everyone appreciates them.”
