Tim Hortons is bringing back the “United Donut” to show appreciation for health care workers for their continued, relentless work throughout the pandemic.

The “United Donut” is a classic, ring-shaped doughnut covered in white fondant topped with celebratory white, blue and red sprinkles. It is available in-person for $1.69 at participating U.S. restaurants from March 22-28. One hundred percent of the purchase price of the “United Donut” will go to regional health care providers, including ECMC.

Tim Hortons Regional Marketing Manager-East Sam Trapasso said, “This month marks one year of battling COVID-19, and Tim Hortons is bringing back the ‘United Donut’ to show appreciation for health care workers for their continued, relentless work throughout the pandemic.”

ECMC Foundation Executive Director Susan M. Gonzalez said, “On behalf of ECMC’s heroic frontline caregivers and our entire ECMC family, we thank Tim Hortons for thinking of all health care workers in our region – including those of us at ECMC. Every day, our skilled and dedicated caregivers deliver lifesaving care to thousands of Western New Yorkers who depend on ECMC during many of their most challenging moments, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As they have done previously with efforts like the annual ‘Smile Cookie’ campaign, Tim Hortons has again demonstrated their incredible support for ECMC. We are also grateful to our very generous community for their strong support of these philanthropic activities.”
