John Pirrone and Scott DeMott, owners of Rustic Buffalo Artisan Market, recently announced they will be expanding their business and reopening North Tonawanda’s iconic White Linen Tea House – also on the same property as Rustic Buffalo – and converting the 3,400-square-foot area into an additional Artisan Market with 45 artisans. All said, they will bring together over 110 local artisans showcased in three uniquely styled buildings on the Rustic Buffalo campus.
Pirrone and DeMott will also create a gourmet kitchen area where one can purchase hometown sauces, salsa, dressings, olive oils, sauces, marinades, jams, jellies, pickles, dips, rubs, a variety of hometown spices and relishes.
But that’s not all: They will have a fresh bakery joining the team seven days a week so patrons can purchase items to grab-and-go or sit down in the café area or the covered porch/patio and relax with a hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate or cold beverage. T Pirrone and DeMott will be taking special orders for birthday and anniversary parties, and holiday cookie platters.
The expansion will be completed by May 1. The grand opening of Rustic Buffalo’s third building will coincide with the kickoff of its outdoor artisan market, which also starts May 1 and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.
A press release stated, “As Buffalonians, we are all committed to shopping local, and this is a perfect way to support local artisans throughout the Western New York area.”
DeMott said, “The expansion of Rustic Buffalo Artisan Market provides a solution for those artisans that continue to be affected by the challenges of the pandemic, leaving artisans with very few options.”
