Niagara County
The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County: “We regretfully report the death of a 92-year-old female with underlying health conditions. We send our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.”
The rest of the update is as follows:
Niagara County Public Health Director Daniel J. Stapleton said, “It’s important for the community to know that more than half of these cases since Thursday morning are tied to senior living facilities in Niagara County. The state requires weekly testing of all staff of senior living facilities across New York state to find positive cases and contain the spread.”

Erie County
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, Erie County had a total of 7,369 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 99 on Grand Island and 3,294 in the City of Buffalo. To date, 144,129 people have been tested (5% positive), with 639 deaths attributed to the coronavirus. Also, 68,392 people have taken an antibody test (6.7% positive).
