Coronavirus county update for April 28

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:

“We regretfully report one new death of a Niagara County resident, a 70-year-old male with underlying health conditions. We send our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.”

The rest of the update is as follows:                        

  • 18 new positive cases, for a total of 428 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
  • 207 in isolation (188 isolating at home, 19 in hospital isolation)
  • 199 recovered
  • 22 deaths

ERIE COUNTY

As of Monday afternoon, Erie County had 3,109 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 44 on Grand Island and 1,225 in the City of Buffalo. In addition, 13,917 people have been tested, and 233 have died as a result of the virus.
