Niagara Falls State Park announces handicraft lottery

Applications for the 2021 Native American handicraft sales permits are available for the upcoming summer season at Niagara Falls State Park.

Applications are available at the Niagara regional administration office at Prospect Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, or online at http://nysparks.com/parks/46/details.aspx. Masks are required to pick up in person. To have an application mailed out, call 716-278-1714 and leave a name and current mailing address.

Entries are due by Friday, March 5. The drawing will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, outside of the Orin Lehman Visitor Center at Niagara Falls State Park. Six names will be drawn. Applicants must be present to be selected. COVID-19 protocols will be followed and all participants will be required to wear masks.

In order to be eligible for the lottery, applicants must be 18 years of age or older and registered as a Native American or provide verifiable proof of Native American heritage.
