As small businesses continue to navigate their way through these difficult times, Willow Consulting has decided to host its annual shopping extravaganza virtually this year.

The Holiday Market live virtual event will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3. A link can be found on the market’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/holidaymarketvirtualevent, under the events tab.

Organizer Jamie Symmonds said, “During these uncertain times, I wanted to provide a platform to small businesses to try and promote and sell their products. As a former small business owner, I understand how important the holiday season sales are to help a business get through our tough winter months. Therefore, I wanted to come up with something to help promote and bolster sales for a several businesses throughout the area and still try to raise money for Toys for Tots, which is the ultimate goal of the event each year. The beauty of going virtual is that it can all be done from the comfort of one’s home, which is important to so many right now, including myself.”

The event will feature several small businesses and item(s)/basket options available exclusively through the Holiday Market. Customers will have the ability to purchase any one of the items presented that evening directly from the business – and get an exclusive discount or special offer not available at another time. Details on how to purchases items will be provided during the market and will also be listed on the Facebook page immediately following the event.

Participating businesses include:

√ All That Chocolate

√ Brickyard Brewing Company

√ Chéri Amour

√ Embody Health and Wellness

√ The Drunkin Candle Shop

√ Three Little Hens

√ Transform Wellness Studio

To help raise money for Toys for Tots, during the live event, viewers will have the ability to purchase raffle tickets at $5 for each entry, or five tickets for $20. Raffle tickets can be purchased during the live virtual market. The winning names will be drawn live at the end of the night.

Symmonds said, “All proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots; therefore, your generosity is appreciated, especially during these unprecedented times. Please see our event page for additional details.

“My goal for doing this market virtually this year is not only to help out small, locally owned businesses and raise money for Toys for Tots, but to also have some fun, bring people together virtually, and have some laughs. I am trying to spread some holiday cheer during a time when there is so much uncertainty.”
