The 2020 census deadline has been extended to Monday, Oct. 5. Those who have not yet been counted can go to my2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020 for English or 844-468-2020 for Spanish.

“It cannot be stressed enough how important it is for everyone in our community to take the census. A complete count ensures that the tax dollars we work hard to generate gets allocated in a fair way. If we do not have a fully enumerated census, we can lose everything from representation in Washington to local funding here in the Hudson Valley,” said Assembly member Kevin A. Cahill of Ulster, Dutchess.

Every person living in the U.S. can take the census, regardless of citizenship. The questions seek demographic information, household income and number of individuals in a residence. The census is secure and confidential.
