Coronavirus stats for Sept. 14

Niagara County

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:

• 15 new positive cases (since Friday morning), for a total of 1,675 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
• 44 active cases (42 isolating at home, 2 in a hospital)
• 1,530 recovered
• 101 deaths
• 81,778 people tested, with less than 8.5% positive (source: https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/)

Erie County

As of Sunday, Erie County had 31 new positive coronavirus tests and a yearly total of 10,462 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 156 on Grand Island and 4,870 in the City of Buffalo). To date, 352,617 people have been tested (2.9% positive), with 682 deaths attributed to the coronavirus. Also, 84,961 people have taken an antibody test (6.7% positive).
