People Inc. celebrates 50th anniversary

Local landmarks light up blue in recognition

On Friday, Aug. 14, local landmarks were lit blue in recognition of the 50th anniversary of People Inc., a regional nonprofit leader in the health and human services industry. The illuminated landmarks included:

√ Niagara Falls, lit by the Niagara Falls Illumination Board, and photographed by Roxane Albond-Buchner.

√ Buffalo City Hall, lit through the Buffalo Landmark Illumination Team initiative, and photographed by Kevin Horrigan and DeWan Stroud.

√ The Electric Tower building in Buffalo, photographed by Stroud.

People Inc. is celebrating 50 years of supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families and older adults. The agency provides programs and services to more than 10,000 people throughout Western New York and the Greater Rochester region.
