3 more coronavirus-related deaths in Niagara County

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update Thursday on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County.

“We regretfully had three more county residents pass away from COVID-19 since our report yesterday morning,” Niagara County Public Health Director Daniel Stapleton said. “All of Niagara County sends our condolences to these families.”

Stapleton said the deceased were:

  • 69-year-old male with underlying health conditions
  • 90-year-old female with underlying health conditions
  • 82-year-old female without underlying health conditions 

The overall Niagara County update:

  • 11 new positive cases, for a total of 166 to date
  • 100 positive individuals in isolation (81 at home, 19 in hospitals)
  • 62 people have recovered
  • 156 people in quarantine
  • 158 completed quarantines
  • 4 deaths

The New York State Department of Health reported 709 people had been tested.

On LCTV Thursday afternoon, Niagara County Legislature Chairwoman Becky Wydysh said, "We certainly offer our deepest condolences and prayers to the families and loved ones of these individuals; as a community, we certainly share your loss."
