Local agencies to help new parents become 'Savvy'

Pinnacle Community Services is teaming up with BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, Catholic Health – Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and Fidelis Care to debut “Savvy Parenthood: An Expo for New and Expectant Parents.” This free, virtual opportunity to access the latest information and resources on pregnancy and parenting young children will take place on Pinnacle’s Facebook page (@pinnaclecommunity) between Aug. 10-16.

Each day will have a unique theme, from “Milky Monday,” on which Catholic Health will share information on breastfeeding, to “Serendipitous Sunday,” when eligible participants will have the chance to win prizes. Prize entry is open to pregnant and parenting residents of Niagara or Orleans counties. The first 100 eligible participants who complete a questionnaire will also receive a swag bag, filled with gifts and resources. Pinnacle presents this event via Healthy Families Niagara, a comprehensive, home-based services program designed to help parents meet the challenges of parenting young children and to ensure healthy child development.
