2 arrested at Falls car dealership

From the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office:

At 2:36 a.m. Monday, Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Darryl Kroening was patrolling Niagara Falls Boulevard when he noticed a new Chevrolet Silverado at David Chevrolet, 10225 Niagara Falls Blvd., with stone blocks underneath an axle. After entering lot, Kroening observed a subject running westbound through the lot.

Kroening checked the vicinity and soon located the subject, identified as Donnell Parker, 40, of Niagara Falls, hiding inside a vehicle with another subject, Clarence Brown, 37,of Niagara Falls.

After interviewing both subjects and locating lug nuts and wheel caps in the vehicle, both people were arrested. Significant damage had also been done to the tires and rims of the Silverado during the attempted theft.

Parker was subsequently charged with attempted grand larceny in the fourth degree (E felony), auto stripping in the 3rd degree (A misdemeanor), criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree (A misdemeanor), criminal tampering in the third degree (B misdemeanor), and criminal mischief in the second (D felony).

Brown was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree (A misdemeanor).

Both were processed at the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to Niagara Falls Police, because they each had unrelated outstanding warrants out of their department.

Parker and Brown have a court appearance at 9 a.m. Aug. 10 in Niagara Town Court.

Both individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
