The management for Leslie Odom Jr. and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra announced the Tony Award-winning artist will wait to bring his symphonic show to Kleinhans Music Hall until June 12, 2021.

Odom Jr.'s highly anticipated performance with the BPO was originally scheduled for April 25, then rescheduled to Oct. 16 due to the suspension of events at Kleinhans in response to the pandemic.

The BPO said the newly rescheduled engagement comes from Odom Jr.’s desire to perform in an environment inclusive of all who wish to attend without restrictions or limitations on venue capacity.

While the BPO and Kleinhans Music Hall have not yet announced any changes to the ’20-21 concert season, both organizations continue to await further guidance from local and state government and health officials on “New York Forward” phase four reopening protocols for large indoor performance venues like Kleinhans, and plan to respond accordingly.

Fans can get a sneak peak of the multi-talented Odom Jr., who earned numerous awards and nominations for his pioneering portrayal of Aaron Burr on Broadway, this weekend when Disney Plus live streams the blockbuster “Hamilton” stage show filmed in 2016 with the original cast. His highly successful symphonic show features the best of Broadway and the American songbook with jazzy standards and nods to crooners such as Nat King Cole.

Tickets to Odom Jr. on the BPO’s ’20-21 season are available. Patrons holding tickets for both the previously scheduled April 25 and Oct. 16 dates will have their tickets honored on the newly finalized, one-night-only performance on Saturday, June 12, 2021, unless they prefer to make other arrangements. For ticketholder options or to purchase tickets, contact the BPO box office at 716-885-5000 or visit bpo.org. Box office staffers are working remotely at this time and there are no in-person box office hours at Kleinhans Music Hall.
