“The American Cancer Society’s mission matters more than ever,” said Joe LaVare, community development manager for the American Cancer Society. “During the COVID-19 crisis, cancer patients, many of who already have compromised immune systems, are more vulnerable than ever. The American Cancer Society continually shares vital information and guidance to keep them safe and informed through our 24/7 cancer helpline 1-800-227-2345 and online at cancer.org.”

Funds raised through Buffalo Sports Trivia help the American Cancer Society continue its mission for a world free from cancer.

The American Cancer Society is a global grassroots force of 1.5 million volunteers dedicated to saving lives, celebrating lives, and leading the fight for a world without cancer. From breakthrough research, to free lodging near treatment, a 24/7/365 live helpline, free rides to treatment, and convening powerful activists to create awareness and impact, the ACS is the only organization attacking cancer from every angle.
