Fri, May 29th 2020 09:20 am

The Town of Lewiston Senior Center will hold a food drive from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 30, to benefit the Care-N-Share Food Pantry in Ransomville. The donation drop-off will take place at the Lewiston Senior Center, 4361 Lower River Road, to assist the pantry in restocking its shelves.

According to food pantry officials, over past months the coronavirus pandemic has depleted the Care-N-Share Food Pantry and it has been difficult to fill the shelves.

Items in need include canned meats, peanut butter, cereal, instant potatoes, rice, powdered milk, canned fruit/vegetables and personal hygiene items.

“All you have to do is pull up and open your car’s trunk and volunteers will remove the donated items,” said Town of Lewiston Supervisor Steve Broderick. “Everyone will be at a safe distance. Please help if you can. We will be there from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.”

The Care-N-Share Food Pantry is located at 3628 Ransomville Road in Ransomville. For more information, call 716-791-1268.
