With the federal government extending its guidelines for social distancing through the end of April to limit the spread of COVID-19, Ransomville Speedway has been forced to delay the start of its 2020 racing season.

Test, Tune & Time Night presented by VP Racing Fuels that was scheduled for Friday, April 24, has been postponed. Ransomville Speedway management is continuing to monitor the situation and will make further adjustments to the schedule as needed.

“We’re disappointed we have to push back the start of the season, but we need to do what is best for the safety and well-being of our fans, racers and staff,” said Jenn Martin, general manager. “When the time does come to get on track for our 63rd season of racing, we will be ready.”

Racers and fans should continue to follow the official Ransomville Speedway website and social media channels for the latest updates.

Opened in 1958, Ransomville Speedway is located on Braley Road in the hamlet of Ransomville, just 20 minutes from Niagara Falls and Lockport. “The Big R” is a 3/8-mile DIRTcar sanctioned facility that is the home of the Summer Nationals. Ransomville also features a 1/16-mile Go-Kart track for action on the “Little R” on Thursday nights. For more information, visit www.ransomvillespeedway.com.
