THIS EVENT IS NOW CANCELLED.

Planning is in the works for a "Literary Arts Café" that will take place on Wednesday evenings from April 1-29 upstairs at the Lewiston Opera Hall, 732 Center St., Lewiston.

Lewiston Council on the Arts and Lewiston Writers Group will present the first “Literary Arts Café,” a new series that features local authors sharing poetry, short stories and excerpts from their novels and memoirs.

A press release stated, “This will be an inspiring and relaxing social event complete with wine, coffee and snacks, in the intimate atmosphere of the historic Lewiston Opera Hall.”

The evenings are hosted by Debra Sherman, cofounder and Chairwoman of the Lewiston Writers’ Group. The event is free, but there will be plenty of books to buy.

One doesn’t have to be a published author, but those interested in reading are required to register at: https://lewistonwritersgroup.com/literary-arts-cafe/.
