Carnegie Art Center presents works by North Tonawanda students

The Carnegie Art Center will host the 2020 North Tonawanda School District Student Spotlight Exhibition from Feb. 27 through March 25 with an opening reception from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. The exhibition will feature artwork by the students who attend NT schools.

Works are selected and curated by the NT art teachers. The art teachers will also include a piece of their own artwork to showcase alongside their students.

“We are pleased to have the NT students and teachers return to the Carnegie Art Center,” program coordinator Natalie Brown said. “As an alumnus of the NT High School, I took full advantage of the art education opportunities the school provided. I hope the students feel a similar appreciation at the Carnegie Art Center.”

The venue will host a family night from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, where the art teachers from the North Tonawanda public schools will facilitate art activities geared toward children ages K through sixth grade.

The exhibition and the family night are both family-friendly, open to the public and free to attend.
