Just eight months after a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of McGuire Development Co.’s first Lewiston development, the parcels at 765 Fairchild Place and 750 Onondaga Street are listed for sale.

NFP was notified of a listing on LoopNet, a commercial real estate website, wherein the two village properties are available for $7.9 million. The listing was created on Jan. 15 and then modified on Feb. 19. McGuire Development’s Kevin Krumm and Brian Askey are listed as contacts for interested parties.

In an email Tuesday, Krumm, the assistant vice president, said, “McGuire Development have recently received multiple interested investors willing to purchase our 765 Fairchild property we developed. Of course our primary focus is running a great property as we love the Lewiston area and will continue to do so.”

The 1.5-acre site has two multifamily buildings: The three-story complex fronting Onondaga Street has 23 high-end apartment units, while the single-floor property on Fairchild Place boasts six townhouse units.

The Fairchild Place website describes the parcels as “five star living with modern finishes, and unmatched local conveniences.” A brochure lists the price per unit (sizes range from 1,000 to 1,500 square-feet) at between $1,550 and $2,100 per month.

At the welcoming event last June, McGuire Development Co. President James Dentinger said, “We just feel it's a really nice addition to the (Village) of Lewiston.” He labeled himself “a fan of Lewiston,” and explained, “We really appreciate the quality of life that's up here. We're hoping to share that with some quality tenants.”

The former Fairchild Manor nursing home site was purchased in 2013. Orchard Park developer James Jerge first pitched living units to the Village Board in 2014. After several rounds of suggested site plan modifications, trustees approved the project in February 2017. The old property was demolished later that year, and construction began in 2018.

Mayor Anne Welch said she wasn’t concerned. Welch spoke with Jerge – who spoke with Dentinger – and she was basically told the same thing Krumm said.

NFP reached out to McGuire Development Co. media relations for additional comment and has not received a reply.

HUNT Real Estate ERA Lewiston is the official leasing partner of Fairchild Place, and currently occupies one of the units.
