Lewiston Lions to Host 'Dining in the Dark North'

The Lewiston Community Lions invite readers to “Dining in the Dark North” at Apple Granny Restaurant on Monday, March 30. The goal of this unique event is to raise awareness of the Olmsted Center for Sight, the Lewiston Community Lions and Lions Club International Foundation.

“Dining in the Dark North” enables guests to get a feel for what so many blind and visually impaired individuals experience daily. Guests are faced with the challenge of dining blindfolded, while one of the Olmsted Center for Sight’s therapists guides them individual through the meal.

Following a cash bar at 5 p.m., the dining experience begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person. Seating is limited. Ticket price includes dinner, coffee, tea and water. There will also be a basket auction and 50/50 tickets available to purchase during the event.
