Students interested in pursuing a career in sport and recreation management, tourism or a related field are invited to learn more about this industry at the Niagara University College of Hospitality and Tourism Management’s Sport, Recreation and Tourism Summit.

Jack Armstrong, Toronto Raptors game analyst, will be the keynote speaker at this free, one-of-a-kind event, which takes place from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Russell J. Salvatore Dinning Commons on the NU campus.

The information-packed summit, now in its fourth year, kicks off with a continental breakfast and Armstrong’s keynote address. Panelists from education and industry, including athletic directors from the high school and collegiate level, as well as representatives from the New York Athletic Club, the Niagara Police Athletic League, the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, Pegula Sports and Entertainment, Visit Buffalo Niagara, the City of Buffalo, Seneca Gaming Corp. and Doubletree by Hilton in downtown Niagara Falls, will share their first-hand career experiences.

Armstrong is in his 22nd season with the Toronto Raptors organization and serves as the analyst on all TSN and TSN 1050 Toronto games. He also provides pre- and postgame analysis for NBA TV Canada.

He was a radio analyst for the Raptors following a successful 14-year coaching career at the collegiate level, including nine years as head coach of the Niagara University Purple Eagles.
