Even though it has been a mild winter, many families are looking to escape Western and Central New York for February break! Some travelers are taking a long weekend for the President’s Day holiday while many families are taking advantage of mid-winter break from area school districts to escape for the whole week.

It’s no surprise that our top 10 most popular destinations all feature warm climates! The list is based on AAA WCNY travel bookings from Feb. 14-24. While Orlando is usually the No. 1 destination, cruising takes the top spot by a close margin in this report. Note: Caribbean cruise and Orlando are by far the most popular destinations, followed by eight other great options. With so many places to go, there’s no poor choice this year.

February break top destinations for travelers from the Western and Central New York region are:
