On Wednesday, Dec. 4, a Dave & Adam’s Card World customer pulled the “Holy Grail” of modern basketball cards: a Zion Williamson Panini Prizms Black 1/1 Rookie Card worth over $100,000.

The one-of-a-kind card surpasses other similar cards that have been seen in the marketplace, including a Williamson rookie card numbered out of 10 that was listed for $25,000, and another numbered out of five listed for $45,000.

“We're so excited for the good customer who pulled this incredible card,” said Adam Martin, CEO, Dave & Adam’s Card World. “He was thrilled with his good fortune. We couldn’t be happier for him.”

Williamson, the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, has not played for the New Orleans Pelicans this season due to injury, but that has not stopped the hype in the hobby as collectors continue to chase his cards. Along with Williamson, rookies such as Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies, RJ Barrett of the New York Knicks, and Rui Hachimura of the Washington Wizards continue to drive a strong rookie class throughout all of this year’s basketball releases.

Dave and Adam’s was founded in 1991 when two friends opened a small card store in Buffalo. Twenty-eight years later, Dave and Adam’s is generally regarded as the largest online seller of trading cards in the world. Its goal is to provide collectors with outstanding service and quality products at fair prices. Dave and Adam’s is locally owned and operates a 35,000-square-foot office and warehouse facility in Tonawanda, in addition to a retail superstore (over 40,000 square-feet) located in Williamsville.
