Creating new opportunities for community collaboration, Catholic Health announced Niagara Family Medicine Associates has joined its growing physician practice network, Trinity Medical WNY, PC.

The transition, which is expected to be completed in February, will be a seamless one for Niagara Family Medicine patients, who will continue to see their same providers in the group’s existing locations in Niagara Falls and Lewiston. The practices will be known as Trinity Niagara Family Medicine.

Originally founded in 1991, Niagara Family Medicine Associates has grown to become one of the largest primary care physician groups in Niagara County, with 46 employees and seven doctors serving 15,000 patients annually. With its local roots dating back to 1954, when founding partner Dr. Melvin B. Dyster began practicing in Niagara Falls, the group has a long tradition of providing high-quality, personalized care to families throughout the Niagara Region.

“We are proud and honored that Niagara Family Medicine has chosen to join Trinity Medical WNY to continue serving the primary care needs of the local community,” said Mark A. Sullivan, president and CEO of Catholic Health. “From the group’s unparalleled values, quality and reputation, we know working closely together with their team will only strengthen and expand the high-quality care they provide to patients of all ages in Niagara County.”

Niagara Family Medicine’s board-certified physicians and clinical staff offer a broad range of primary care services, from general family medicine and women’s health services, to pediatrics and geriatric care. As part of Trinity Medical WNY, the group will maintain its offices at 7300 Porter Road in Niagara Falls and 908 Center St., Lewiston.

“It is our belief that Catholic Health and Niagara Family Medicine share a common commitment to provide the highest quality care to our patients and the greater Niagara community,” said the medical practice in a joint statement. “Together, we are eager to begin this exciting new partnership. The doctors and staff at Niagara Family Medicine have a long history with Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, and this new alignment will allow our patients to continue to receive the very best care and service, as well as have greater access to the advanced medical services offered throughout Catholic Health going forward.”
