The Town of Niagara Business and Professionals Association is proud to announce that the organization will donate $500 to each of the four charities that received food donations collected at previous years parades. These charities include Community Missions, St. Vincent DePaul, Niagara Presbyterian Church and Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission.

“We understand the importance that the annual food drive, which was held in conjunction with the Electric Lights parade, had on the Niagara community, and, while the parade will not happen this year, our goal remains the same – to support the Niagara community in a meaningful and impactful way. This is why we are proudly donating $500 to each of the four charities that benefited from the annual parade food drive in years past,” said Janiene Ennis-Garcia, co-president of the TNBPA.

“While the Electric Lights parade is currently on a one year hiatus, the spirit of giving back to the Niagara community remains. The cash donations totaling $2,000 will allow four deserving organizations to purchase food that is most needed for their particular pantries – this kind of purchasing power makes a huge impact on their ability to provide food and supplies needed by Niagara community members,” said Chris Woods, co-president of the TNBPA.

The TNBPA’s efforts do not stop with this generous monetary donation. The organization is also challenging Town of Niagara businesses and residents to donate food and gently used clothing items as a way to further generate much needed support for local charities at holiday time.

Food and clothing donations can be dropped at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls Guest Services desk now through Nov. 25. All donations will be split between the four identified charities just before the Thanksgiving holiday.
