Prenatal yoga has arrived in Niagara County.

The OB/GYN Center at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and P3 Center for Teens, Moms and Kids is offering free prenatal yoga classes at 2 p.m. Mondays through Oct. 7 at the medical center, 621 10th St. Leading the classes is registered nurse and certified yoga instructor Peg Rusert from the Soma Cura Wellness Center.

“Yoga is a great way for expectant moms to prepare for childbirth,” said P3 Director Karen Vilardo. “It has a positive effect on pregnancy and delivery and enhances post-partum health. Our classes – the only prenatal yoga classes in Niagara County – are open to expectant mothers throughout pregnancy and will include postures, breathing exercises and meditation while focusing on women’s needs during all phases of pregnancy.”

For information or to register, call Karen Vilardo at 716-278-4274 or email [email protected].
