Evans Insurance Agency executive to be honored at Empower Golf Tournament

Empower will honor Ronald Miller, vice president of the Evans Insurance Agency, at its annual golf tournament on June 17 at Niagara Frontier Country Club in Youngstown. Miller will receive the Neil and Mary Gruppo Service Award at the tournament dinner, to be held at 6 p.m.

Miller will be acknowledged for helping to protect the safety of the people who work and participate in Empower’s programs. As Empower’s insurance broker for 15 years, Miller has helped the agency to establish a risk management program and an active safety committee. 

“Ron is more than just a vendor to us. He is a true partner,” said Empower CEO Jeff Paterson. “Ron goes well beyond our expectations, devoting many hours to making our agency safer and more efficient.”

With 300 employees and a $14 million budget, Empower is one of Western New York’s 60 largest nonprofit organizations. The administrative offices, preschool, community clinic and service coordination program are located on Lockport Road in the Town of Niagara. The job training and day programs division is based in Niagara Falls, while residential facilities are located throughout Niagara County. Licensed by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the New York State Education Department, Empower is an affiliate of the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State.
