The New York State Department of Transportation announced construction is scheduled to begin this coming week on a project to construct a new multi-use trail between the Village of Lewiston and Devil’s Hole State Park. As a result, a lane closure is scheduled to begin.

Beginning at approximately 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, a lane closure will begin on the Niagara Scenic Parkway southbound, in the vicinity of NY Route 104. The right lane will be closed. As work on the project progresses, the lane closure will shift south. The project is scheduled to be completed by November.

Motorists are urged to slow down and safely move over when approaching roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
