Enjoy the beautiful countryside and take a ride on a vintage train on Saturday, June 22.

It’s “All Aboard” for the History Center’s 2019 Summer Bus Trip, as participants take a journey on the Arcade and Attica Railway. They will depart the History Center at 8 a.m., with a first stop at the Arcade Historical Society. Exhibits dedicated to the rural history of Arcade will be explored.

After the museum visit, patrons will stop for lunch at Chanderson’s Steak and Seafood (a buffet with choice of chicken or roast beef will be offered).

Guests will board the bus again and head for the Arcade and Attica Railway depot. The spot is an authentic station, ticket office and gift shop.

A two-and-a-half hour train ride will roll through the scenic landscape on a vintage WWII-era diesel train. Halfway through the ride, the train will drop people off at Currier’s Station, where they’ll be free to take photos with the train and explore the small museum located in the station. The scenic adventure will then continue as everyone heads back to the depot.

Tickets for the motor coach trip are by reservation only, at $75 for History Center members or $80 for non-members. The price includes admission and lunch. The bus returns around 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the History Center (215 Niagara St., Lockport) or by calling 716-434-7433.
