Knee, hip, joint and shoulder pain can severely impact one’s life. When it comes to choosing a doctor and hospital for orthopedic care, it can be hard to know where to go.

The orthopedic team at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital offers award-winning care in Niagara County. With an “A” Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group and a five-star quality rating from Healthgrades for total knee replacement, residents throughout the Niagara Region can take comfort knowing quality orthopedic care is close to home.

Catholic Health is sponsoring a community lunch program, “Is Orthopedic Surgery Right for Me?”, from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the Niagara Falls Country Club, 505 Mountain View Drive, Lewiston.

Join host Kevin O’Connell and orthopedic surgeons Kafai Lai and Stephen Watkins for lunch and an informative discussion about orthopedic care at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital. They’ll provide information on when to see a doctor, different types of treatments available – including the latest procedures for relieving hip and shoulder pain – and what one needs to know before, during and after surgery. There will also be time to get questions answered.

“Is Orthopedic Surgery Right for Me?” is open to the public. Guests are invited to attend one free community program per calendar year. After that, the cost is $20 and includes a meal. Space is limited and reservations are required. For more information, call 716-447-6205 or visit chsbuffalo.org/events.
