Local travelers have opportunity to tour Paris and Normandy

By AAA of Western and Central New York

AAA Western and Central New York announced its 2020 member appreciation trip, a European river cruise that will sail to Paris and Normandy with AmaWaterways aboard AmaLyra.

Every year, AAA WCNY hosts a member appreciation trip led by President and CEO Tony Spada complete with AAA tour guides. This is an opportunity for travelers from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse to enjoy a journey with like-minded travelers while taking advantage of special perks and savings. The 2020 trip, scheduled for May 7-14, will immerse travelers in World War II history while also offering French wine and culinary experiences, all while sailing along the River Seine.

AAA is hosting free informational events to share more details about the trip. Those who attend will save $250 per person if they choose to book the trip. Locally, details will be offered at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Eagle Vale Golf Club in Buffalo.

Registration is required for the events and can be made online HERE. Travelers can also call 888-320-5631 for more information.

European river cruising is increasingly popular with local travelers. It requires unpacking only once, yet affords visitors the opportunity to see multiple cities and sites within one week from a luxurious ship, which will be chartered by AAA WCNY and filled with local travelers. This trip will uncover history along the Seine from Paris, “City of light,” to the chalk-white cliffs of Normandy. Travelers will enjoy colorful harbor towns along the way and discover the paths of renowned artists like Monet and Van Gogh. They’ll see chateaus and cathedrals with all-inclusive shore excursions.

Before setting out on a vacation, travelers can contact their local AAA office for the expert advice of a trusted travel adviser. Travelers can also download the free AAA mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android. The app can be used to map a route, find the lowest gas prices, access exclusive member discounts, find more than 59,000 AAA Approved and Diamond Rated hotels and restaurants, request roadside assistance and more.
