Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will host a “Get Back on Track” event from 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday in the lobby of the Golisano Center for Community Health, 533 10th St., Niagara Falls.

Dr. Simmanjeet Mangat, chief of primary care for Niagara Falls Memorial, said the event aims to remind the community of the importance of regularly seeing their primary care doctor.

“Too many people forgo seeing a doctor,” Mangat said. “Making time to see a primary care provider at least once a year can keep you healthy and reduce your chances of serious health conditions down the road by catching the early warning signs of a chronic illness.”

“Get Back on Track” is designed to give area residents a chance to reconnect to primary care services. The event will offer free blood pressure screenings and education on heart health. A variety of local businesses and organizations will be on hand, including Sam’s Club, the Veggie Stand, Blue Wireless and Fidelis Care.

A tai chi demonstration will be provided to teach participants how to reduce stress and improve balance and flexibility. Free refreshments and gift cards will be provided.
