Obituary: Carol R. Nogle

Carol R. Nogle, 73, of Edgewater, Florida, wife of Thomas E. Nogle, entered into rest Dec. 19, 2017 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Florida.
Carol was born in Kenmore, New York, on April 23, 1944, daughter of the late H. Edwin and Georgianna C. Erb.
She attended Edgewater United Methodist Church when in Florida and was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Grand Island for over 40 years; she belonged to circle groups at both churches. Carol worked part time in the kitchen at the Grand Island High School for many years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of several craft groups and enjoyed knitting mittens and crafting things for others. She was also a member of the Grand Island Women of the Moose, Chapter 1922 where she held several positions including senior regent.
Carol was predeceased by a son, David Thomas Nogle, in 1969.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas E. Nogle; children, Cherie (Ron) Stork of Medina, James (Kathy) Nogle; three grandchildren, Tyler James, Connor David, and Kai Thomas all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her brother, Charles (Rebecca) Erb of Portland, Maine; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. July 28 at Trinity United Methodist Church 2100 Whitehaven Blvd., Grand Island. Interment will be at Elmlawn Cemetery, Tonawanda.
Donations may be made in Carol's name to the Grand Island Moose Scholarship fund, or Trinity United Methodist Church.
