Criss Angel, Jon Secada, 'Dancing with the Stars' duo headline June entertainment at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino

Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino welcomes “Criss Angel RAW – The Mindfreak Unplugged” show to the Seneca Niagara Events Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 8. Tickets go on sale this at noon on Friday for this 18-and-older show.

Criss Angel is the biggest name in the world of magic. He rose to superstar status as the star and creator of the most popular and successful magic television series of all time, “Criss Angel MINDFREAK,” as well as his popular Las Vegas stage shows, television specials and series, books, CDs and retail products. Angel’s awe-inspiring magic and illusions have amazed millions of live audiences around the world. This most recent touring production, “Criss Angel RAW – The Mindfreak Unplugged,” debuted in 2018. The performance includes Angel’s sleight-of-hand magic, mentalism, and even some of Angel’s most iconic illusions.

The Bear’s Den Showroom inside Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino welcomes Yngwie Malmsteen on Saturday, June 1; Ambrosia on Friday, June 7; Jon Secada on Saturday, June 15; and “Ballroom With A Twist starring Tony Dovolani & Karina Smirnoff” on Friday, June 21, Saturday, June 22. All shows begin at 8pm. Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday.

Malmsteen is one of the leading electric guitar players in music history. He gained prominence in the early 1980s, when his first solo album, “Rising Force,” won Best Rock Album from Guitar Player Magazine and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental. A string of successful albums followed, highlighted by Malmsteen’s neoclassical metal style of play, drawing inspiration from composers such as Bach, Paganini and Vivaldi. Malmsteen has released more than 20 studio albums throughout his career and, in 2009, he was rated among the 10 Greatest Electric Guitar Players ever by Time magazine.

Ambrosia gained steady radio play and was one of the leading live acts from the mid-1970s to the early ‘80s. Their early music, including popular albums “Ambrosia” and “Somewhere I’ve Never Travelled,” were filled with Progressive Rock songs highlighted by lush orchestration. Songs such as “Can’t Let a Woman” and “Holdin’ On To Yesterday” were popular on the airwaves. The band also scored a hit with its remake of the Beatles’ “Magical Mystery Tour.” Ambrosia veered more toward a jazz/R&B sound in the latter part of the ‘70s, a move that produced their biggest pop hits, including “How Much I Feel” and later “Biggest Part of Me” and “You’re The Only Woman (You & I).”

Secada is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter who rose to stardom in the early 1990s and continues to work with some of music’s biggest hit-makers. His self-titled debut album in 1991 sold more than 6 million copies, powered by the hit songs “Just Another Day,” “Angel,” “I’m Free” and “Do You Believe in Us.” Secada’s success continued with 1994’s “Heart, Soul and Voice,” and 1995’s “Amor,” each of which produced Top 10 hit singles. In addition to his own hits, Secada has written and produced songs for such superstars as Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin.

“Ballroom With A Twist” brings together the talents of professional entertainers from “Dancing With the Stars,” “So You Think You Can Dance” and “American Idol.” The evening features the frenzy of sizzling dance moves showcased in such dances as the samba, waltz, foxtrot, quickstep and jive. The back-to-back performances inside The Bear’s Den Showroom will feature former “Dancing With the Stars” cast members Dovolani and Smirnoff. She won season 13 of the show when partnered with actor J.R. Martinez.
