Lewiston Council on the Arts is looking for the most creative high school student artists to participate in the 35th annual KeyBank Chalk Walk competition, which will be held during the Lewiston Art Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10.

“This year, we journey back to the era of peace and love to pay homage to the 50th anniversary of Woodstock and the ‘Summer of Love,’ focusing on the cultural revolution that changed art, music and the direction of our country,” the LCA stated. “We invite teams of one, two or three students to compete for cash prizes for first, second and third place; and encourage young artists to let their imaginations run wild and chalk up a masterpiece that will reflect their inner hippie, psychedelic spirit!”

Applications and instructions can be obtained by phone at 716-754-0166, downloaded from www.artcouncil.org or by email at [email protected].
