Niagara Ministerial Council president to speak at Memorial's 12th annual Black History Celebration

The Rev. Raymond Allen, pastor of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church and the president of the Niagara Ministerial Council, will be the keynote speaker Friday, Feb. 22, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center’s 12th Annual Black History Celebration.

This year’s theme is “Hope and Health: Without Hope We Fail to Exist.” The event will begin with a 10 a.m. health fair in the medical center’s first floor auditorium, 621 10th St. A light lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m., with the program to begin at noon.

The Niagara Falls Chapter of the Links will be presented with a special award honoring its members for nearly 70 years of service to the community. A volunteer service organization of concerned, committed and talented women of color, the Niagara Falls Chapter of the Links was chartered in 1950.
