Wheatfield Winterfest an indoor success

Thu, Feb 14th 2019 03:45 pm

The Town of Wheatfield Recreation Department and Lions Club participated in the annual Winterfest at the Youth Center near Town Hall on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Lions Club helped serve hot cocoa with marshmallows and spread the warmth for visitors. The festival had an abundance of indoor activities, due to the lack of snow on the ground outside.

Recreation Director Mike Ranalli said over 100 town residents showed up for the event. He also thanked the Wheatfield Lions Club for its efforts and donated time.

The Lions Clubs is a global community service organization of which Wheatfield takes part at 6535 Ward Road at the Five Senses Park, community events hall and pavilion. The club can be found on Facebook.
