Held each December by officials of the Worcester Wreath Company of Harrington, Maine, with veterans groups from throughout the country, the mission is to remember, honor and teach others on the importance of honoring the nation’s fallen heroes. National Wreaths Across America Day wreath-laying ceremonies are held at Arlington National Cemetery as well as thousands of locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

VFW Post 313 participated in the national Wreaths Across America Day by placing 40 wreaths on the graves of veterans at the Oakland Rural Cemetery in Youngstown. VFW Post 313 members are shown before one of the cemetery’s decorated graves. (Submitted photo)
