The Shawnee Sno-Chiefs Snowmobile Club in cooperation with the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company will be holding a free New York State Snowmobile Safety Course from 4:30 p.m. (5 p.m. on Tuesday) to 9 p.m. on Jan. 21 and 22 at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, 3747 Lockport Road.
This course is open to anyone ages 10 and above. A parent or guardian must accompany the student to registration to sign the state required permission slip or provide a signed note authorizing the student permission to take the course.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with their children. Students must attend both nights to graduate. Students should bring a pencil/pen and a snack. Soft drinks will be provided compliments of the Sno-Chiefs. Pre-registration is required. Call Rodger at 731-2174 to register.
