On Saturday, the City of North Tonawanda, as well as the Downtown Merchants and Oliver Street Merchants played host to the 2018 Lumber City Walk. The walk included over 40 family-friendly events throughout the day around Webster and Oliver streets, which helped kick the holiday season off in North Tonawanda.
Activities ranged from firetruck rides on the old school North Tonawanda Fire Department truck, to pony rides, a petting zoo, meet and greets with Santa Claus, magic shows and much more.
Along with activities for the kiddos, local businesses participated in the walk to help promote small businesses. NT establishments featured special offerings throughout the day.
Wherever you went in North Tonawanda Saturday, festivities to kick off the holiday season were aplenty, which helped local families and their children get a day of joy out of the house and ring in this year's Christmas season.
