Local business has provided thousands of rides to keep WNY roads safer
Designated Drivers of Buffalo (DDOB) is celebrating its 10th year of providing designated driving services in Western New York.
Unlike traditional cabs or ride-sharing companies, DDOB drives customers home in their own car, allowing customers to get their vehicle home without the risk of a DWI, leaving their car behind, or having to retrieve their vehicle the next day. Since its inception in 2008, DDOB has provided more than 30,000 rides.
"We are very excited to have reached the 10-year milestone. The transportation industry has changed so much over the years. It's been a fun and exciting industry to be a part of. With all the different option available, we are so proud to still have such a large impact on drinking and driving prevention in WNY," said Michael Mulé, CEO of Designated Drivers of Buffalo.
To help mark the 10th anniversary, DDOB is providing discounted member rates to anyone using the service throughout the month of October. People interested in using the service can download the new DDNY app from the Apple Store or Google Play and use the discount-code 10YEARS to receive the discounted rate. Individuals can make a reservation or book their ride directly from the app or can also call 716-202-2222 to request a ride.
Designated Drivers of Buffalo provides a no-excuse solution to drinking and driving by driving customers home in the comfort and convenience of their own vehicle. More information on DDOB services can be found at www.DDOBNY.com.
