Mount St. Mary's Hospital conducts diabetes education classes in October

Mount St. Mary's Hospital will host its diabetes education program, titled "Taking Charge of Your Diabetes." This series of two classes will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 12.
Conducted by Michele Reeves-Adams, R.N., a diabetes educator, the sessions help individuals learn about healthy eating, exercise, medications, foot care and goal setting as they address their disease. The goal of the class is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to control their blood sugar and live a healthier life.
The sessions are conducted at the main hospital building (Room 249) at 5300 Military Road, Lewiston. Registrants need to attend both classes.
