The Starpoint Spartans boys modified soccer team will play for a good cause this season as the team shows its support for the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo. In its first game Monday, the Spartans wore the signature Ronald McDonald red and white socks. The boys will continue to wear the socks at every home game.
While action took place on the field, parents volunteered and collected donations from willing spectators. Donations will take place at every home game.
The public is encouraged to head out and cheer on the squad, while giving back to a good cause.
The team's next home game starts at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 versus Sweet Home.
