Stamm-Philipps wins Wheatfield town justice primary election

Last Thursday, Town of Wheatfield residents voted in the primary election for Wheatfield town justice. This election was between Angela Stamm-Philipps and Charles Naughton.
On the Democratic line, Stamm-Philipps accrued 501 votes, Naughton gained 325 votes and there was one write-in vote. Stamm-Philipps won districts 1, 2 and 3 (100-64); 4 and 5 (76-70-1); 6 (32-29); 7, 8 and 9 (120-64); and 10, 11 and 12 (123-47). Naughton was victorious in districts 13 and 14 (51-50).
On the GOP line, Stamm-Philipps was victorious, 396 votes to 107. There were also five write-in votes. Stamm-Philipps swept all districts; 1, 2 and 3 voted 90-18; 4 and 5 voted 52-14; 6 voted 25-3; 7, 8 and 9 voted 91-22 with one write-in; 10, 11 and 12 voted 63-22 with two write-ins; and 13 and 14 voted 75-28 with two write-ins.
Stamm-Philipps also won the Conservative, Green Party and Independence lines, 38-5, 5-0 and 44-12, respectively. Naughton and Stamm-Philipps tied on the Working Families line with three votes apiece.
In other primary results:
•Current Gov. Andrew Cuomo accrued 5,973 votes on the Democratic line over Cynthia Nixon's 3,731. In Wheatfield, Cuomo took the vote with 522 votes to Nixon's 314. There were also two write-in votes.
In North Tonawanda, Cuomo defeated Nixon, 854 votes to 519, with five write-ins.
In the Town of Niagara, Cuomo accrued 271 votes compared to Nixon's 147. There were three write-ins.
•In the primary for lieutenant governor on the Democratic line, Kathy Hochul gained 7,302 votes, while Jumaane Williams accrued 2,312 votes. There were 37 write-in votes.
In Wheatfield, Hochul received 658 votes and Williams gained 175. There were three write-ins.
In North Tonawanda, Hochul received 1,057 votes, compared to Williams' 317. There were five write-in votes.
Lastly, in the Town of Niagara, Hochul received 314 votes, Williams accrued 99 votes and there were two write-in votes.
•In the primary for attorney general on the Democratic line, Sean Patrick Maloney received 4,792 votes; Zephyr Teachout received 2,409 votes; Letitia James received 1,474 votes; and Leecia Eve received 819 votes.
In Wheatfield, Maloney accrued 430 votes, while Teachout, James and Eve received 210, 111 and 67 votes, respectively. There was one write-in vote.
In North Tonawanda, Maloney received 654 votes; Teachout received 380 votes; James received 135; and Eve received 129. There were eight write-in votes.
In the Town of Niagara, Maloney received 207 votes; Teachout received 85 votes; James received 81 votes; and Eve received 31 votes.
