The annual Buffalo Central Terminal Oktoberfest will be held from 3-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the historic landmark.
German music will be provided by The Auslanders, who have been performing at Oktoberfest celebrations since 1974; and The Bergholz German Band, which is a full German brass band based in Bergholz.
Authentic German beer and food will be available from Potts Deli and Catering and admission fee is $10. Potts Deli and Catering also provides food and beverages for the annual Dyngus Day celebration held at the Central Terminal each year.
Opened in 1929 to serve more than 200 trains and 10,000 passengers daily, the iconic Buffalo Central Terminal operated for 50 years, until the art-deco masterpiece officially closed as a train station in 1979. In 1997, the nonprofit Central Terminal Restoration Corp acquired the 18-acre Buffalo Central Terminal site. To help fund restoration, the CTRC currently hosts more than 30 public events a year in the terminal's main building.
Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com and more information can be found at http://buffalocentralterminal.org/.
