On Labor Day, Monday, the Buffalo Zoo will wrap up the summer season with a $5 admission-for-all deal. For many years, the Buffalo Zoo has welcomed guests at significantly reduced admission on Labor Day.
All of the zoo's exhibits, rides and attractions will be open, including Arctic Edge, featuring polar bears Luna and Sakari, as well as M&T Bank Rainforest Falls. And, it will be the final day to visit the popular Boomerang Island. This interactive exhibit features more than 300 birds from the Australian outback. For just $2, guests will receive a seed stick and have the opportunity to get up close with these colorful, fun feathered friends.
A new selection of food choices will be available to guests on Labor Day. The Beastro at the Buffalo Zoo will be open, serving hot dogs and hamburgers, french fries and Perry's ice cream. The Buffalo Zoo is pleased to welcome Chiavetta's Chicken, Juan Chavez Food Truck and Ru's Pierogi as additional dining options.
The Buffalo Zoo parking lot will be open at the $5 per car fee. Additional parking is available in Delaware Park, the Nichols School and St. George's Episcopal Church. The Zoofari shuttle between the Nichols School and St. George's Episcopal Church and drop guests off at the main entrance of the Zoo.
Buffalo Zoo members will continue to enjoy their regular free admission to the Buffalo Zoo this Labor Day.
The Buffalo Zoo is also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is the third-oldest zoo in the country. For additional information about the Buffalo Zoo, visit www.buffalozoo.org.
